a retirement community back in 1960. Upon its opening, sales were brisk and by
1978 Sun City had been built out.
The Del E. Webb Corporation sought out more land and again embarked on another
retirement community adjacent to Sun City. It was named Sun City West. Both Sun
City, and Sun City West boast thousands of acres of golf courses. Clubhouses,
recreational centers, shopping areas are just some of the amenities that each
community has to offer. Lets not forget about the swimming pools or fishing at
the Lakeview Recreational Center.
Sun City Features
Sun City is located just thirteen miles northwest of downtown Phoenix, making it
easily accessible to nearby attractions.
Whether it’s touring the local sites, or visiting The Sundome Center for the
Performing arts that host numerous professional plays and shows, with such
features as the Symphony of the West Valley. Sun City has so much to offer for
the active adult. It’s no wonder that it is top rated for retirement living.

the west a great spot for retirees and those soon to be. Kudos to this
