Scottsdale Home Sales Statistics Trend New Records
While cities like Phoenix and others in Maricopa County have shown drastic
growth patterns in the last couple of years, suburban areas like Scottsdale
have also shown record-like growth with home sales soaring as more and more
people try moving into the area. However, cities like Phoenix have new homes
popping up every year and the city is always growing – Scottsdale cannot say
the same, as the suburban sprawl of the town has all but stopped and new homes
have stopped popping up everywhere throughout the town. Instead, the home sales
have increased primarily due to the attractiveness of the suburban Scottsdale,
where Baby Boomers are settling down to retire and investors are snatching up
homes to resell at high prices.
Why Scottsdale Is Attractive to Buyers
Why exactly is Scottsdale so attractive to someone looking to move to Arizona?
To start, the homes there are not as high-priced and expensive as some other
suburban areas throughout America. In fact, Arizona has some of the lowest
priced one-family homes in the entire nation. If residents can handle the heat
and heavy sun of Arizona, the state offers homes at prices well below the
median price of one-family homes elsewhere in the country.
Scottsdale Suburbs Offer Luxury
Besides just prices, Scottsdale offers residents a luxurious and elegant
alternative to the city life of Arizona. Between the rolling hills off in the
distance of the suburbs, the various mountains and lakes, and the overall
cleanliness of the “desert” life, Scottsdale gives residents the opportunity to
live in a place that prides itself on being, “The West’s Most Western Town.”
Because no (or very few) new homes are built in Scottsdale, homes are often
valued higher than they would be if new homes were available otherwise. People
are snatching up whatever homes they can find within Scottsdale and buying them
in record numbers. As one of the most attractive suburbs in Arizona, Scottsdale
is quickly becoming one of America’s favorite suburbs to live.
